to learn more abut our first vacation house, Mountain Creek
Estates is located in Hiawassee, Georgia, directly north of
the city of Atlanta and two miles south of the North Carolina
border.
The house was purchased as a rental property so that others
can enjoy the scenic mountain vistas and soothing view of Lake
Chatague without the hassle and expense of maintaining such
a get-away year round. The North Georgia Mountain area is known
for its peaceful and friendly environment, making it perfect
for a relaxing vacation any time of year.
The mountains are well known for their camping, hiking, golfing
and horseback riding. Mountain Creek Estates, located on Mount
Ramey, is
within a two-minute ride of the Lake Chatague and the marina. The
lake is perfect for trout fishing, boating and water-skiing. In addition,
special events, such as county fairs and concerts performed by nationally
recognized musicians, are held throughout the year in Hiawassee and
the surrounding area.
Our
home offers scenic views of the mountains and the lake as well as
a spa/hot tub (state of the art Sundance Hot Tub) with spa jets
and aroma-therapy. Enjoy the relaxing views by day and the evening
stars by night as you relax to the peace and quiet of the mountain
community.
Additional
attractions in and around the area include Brasstown Valley Resort
with beautiful mountain views, fine dining, an 18-hole golf course
and a convention center less than five minutes of the estate. Brasstown
Bald (the highest point in Georgia with scenic views of the states
of Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Alabama) is located less
than a 20-minute drive from the house.
Brasstown Bald also offers
biking, nature trails and camping. In addition, the town of Helen
is also accessible within 30 minutes. Helen, a little German town
nestled in the mountains, offers fine restaurants, plentiful shopping,
rafting, hiking, camping and semi-annual fairs.
